AN OPPORTUNITY has arisen at Seevic College, as they're currently recruiting for a Youth Safety Worker.

This post is to be part of their Student Services Team to support, guide and motivate students to engage, sustain and achieve their aspirational targets.

The post holder will play a major part in student behaviour outside the classroom, being able to identify and challenge misconduct and use a range of interventions and mediation strategies whenever necessary.

You will liaise with key internal and external partners to ensure students receive holistic support throughout their college journey.

The candidate needs to have a high standard of general education with work experience in relevant fields such as youth work, social work or social studies, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the potential barriers and difficulties that can hamper student progression and success.

The post holder must also be able to ensure the effective implementation of and adherence to safeguarding, diversity, equal opportunities and Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Additionally, you will need to have good time management, be flexible and able to work under pressure and have a basic working knowledge of Word. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to enable effective networking and the development of positive relationships.

The post holder must also be able to demonstrate initiative and a common sense approach to their work as well as confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
