Hi everybody, my name is Kid Gospel and slowly but surely you will be hearing about my music, if you don’t hear my music first that is!

I’m 14, from east London and I MC. I’ve been doing my thing for a few years but I only told my dad about my musical ambitions two years ago as I didn’t know how he would take it. To my surprise, he took me to the studio for my 13th birthday and I recorded my first tune properly.

Although that was only a year ago, it seems like ages because soooooooo much has happened in the last twelve months!! After my first recording I did a video shoot with the It Doesn’t Have To Happen government anti-knife campaign – that was BIG! UK music stars, Donaeo, K.I.G and Kidulthood actor Adam Deacon were also in the video, which was a good look for the campaign and for me!!! This year It Doesn’t have To Happen produced an anti-knife mixtape featuring loads of big UK stars including north London rapper, Chipmunk. I want to be big like him one day! I would like to record a track with him as well. One day at a time though…

Anyway, I decided to call this blog Mad Times because everything seems to be happening now! I’ve got so much schoolwork to do as well as all my music stuff. For some reason Math lessons seem really boring at the moment and it feels like the teacher doesn’t teach me anything – I hope they don’t read this! LOL! As much as it’s my least favourite subject at the moment, I know I’m going to need it in later life.

Lunchtime makes up for math lessons because my friends and I get together in the playground to MC. I usually practice with them – they’re in a group called Unique Styles.

This week it’s the Easter holidays and I’m planning to write some bars and building some beats with my friend Drinzl. I might make a trip to Westfields shopping centre too and see what’s happening down there –hopefully some girls… LOL!

In my next blog I’ll tell you all the behind scenes gossip from my debut photoshoot and share some exclusive snaps with you – you don’t want to miss them.
