Waka Flocka Flame clears up retirement rumours

NOT QUITTING: Waka Flocka Flame

RAPPER WAKA Flocka Flame has reneged on his plans for early retirement by claiming that his initial comment was taken out of context.

The 25-year-old shocked fans last month (July 11) afters announcing that he would quit rap next year because the music industry was “fake.”

Writing on his Twitter page, the No Hands said: "This game 2 fake I quit rap after this year [sic].”

However, in a recent interview with MTV's RapFix Live the rapper claimed that his earlier tweet was misconstrued.

"Nah, I am gonna retire. I'm gonna retire from the industry. I'm not gonna kick it in the industry no more. I'm gonna do what I wanna do, how I started like from the beginning. I'm gonna do exactly what I wanna do," he said.

"I don't expect to win awards, I don't expect to go to big venues. I'm gonna really help the youth — this is what I started doin' it for, so I'm gonna finish doin' it. Yeah, I'm gonna retire — from the industry," he added.
