FILM ROLE: Usher
ONE OF R'n'B’s biggest stars has been cast to play the role of the legendary boxer, Sugar Ray Leonard, in the upcoming film, Hands of Stone.
Multi-platinum singer, Usher, will play the part of Leonard in the movie, which tells the story of the iconic pugilist, Roberto Duran.
Leonard and Duran fought each other twice in 1980 and once more in 1989 with Duran winning the first bout, handing Leonard his first professional loss in the process.

However, Leonard defeated Duran in the subsequent rematch where the Panamanian infamously quit in the eighth round and Leonard was again victorious nine years later in the rubber match.
The 33-year-old Confessions, singer, who has appeared in films such as The Faculty, All That and Killers, told the BBC:
"I'm in preparation for a very incredible role. If you see me in the corners boxing, I'm doing that while working on this [his seventh] album."
Filming is said to start later on in the year.
