Usain Bolt's plea to Man United boss

GETTING SHIRTY: The Jamaican with his beloved Manchester United shirt

MANCHESTER UNITED fan Usain Bolt has given new Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho some pre-season advice.

Bolt, who thrilled his fans at London’s Anniversary Games on July 22, has delivered a plea to new Manchester United manager - "I need you to win".

The six-time Olympic champion is attempting to take his tally to nine gold medals in Rio next month, and warmed up by winning the 200m at the Anniversary Games in London's Olympic Stadium on Friday.

The world’s fastest man is looking forward to United’s glory days under the Portuguese coach. Indeed, he admitted recently that Mourinho's predecessor, Louis van Gaal, "was really stressing me out".

Of United's decision to axe the Dutchman, Bolt said: "I was very happy because I know that Jose Mourinho, like me, is a winner."

And the Jamaican went one further as he spoke to ESPN, imploring Mourinho to return his side to winning ways. Bolt will be hoping Manchester United can overcome rivals Manchester City in the International Champions Cup on July 25.
