FORMER ENGLAND defender and Tottenham U23 coach Ugo Ehiogu has been rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack at Tottenham training ground, where he was leading a training session.
The 44-year-old immediately received medical attention.
Tottenham confirmed the sad news via a statement, released on Twitter that read: “We can confirm that Ugo Ehiogu is currently in hospital after collapsing at our Training Centre earlier today.
“Our Under-23’s coach received immediate treatment on site from our medical staff before being transferred to hospital by ambulance.
“Everyone at the Club sends their best wishes to Ugo and his family. We shall continue to provide updates when we have further information.”
The 44-year-old has enjoyed a successful playing career, having represented Aston Villa and Middlesbrough over 350 times and earning four England caps.
