TRAGEDY: Tina Turner was in Paris when authorities arrived at her son's home in California

TINA TURNER’S son has been found dead in an apparent suicide.

Craig Raymond Turner, the singer’s eldest son, was 59.

He was found dead at the scene of his home in Studio City, California with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner-Coroner has said.

Medical workers are reported to have arrived at his home on Tuesday (July 3).

Craig, a real estate agent, is survived by his mother and his half brother, Ronnie.

Ronnie is Tina and Ike’s only child together.

During her turbulent marriage to Ike, Tina was on the receiving end of domestic violence.

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in 2005, the What’s Love Got to Do with It singer said: “Ike’s children never reacted, but my oldest son, Craig, was a very emotional kid.

“He’d always look down in sadness. One day when Ike was fighting me, Craig knocked on the door and said, ‘Mother, are you all right?’”

Tina was in Paris when authorities discovered her son.

The 78-year-old was pictured on the red carpet for the Giorgio Armani Prive show, part of Paris haute couture week.

She is yet to comment publicly on the news.
