Tammy Abraham signs new Chelsea deal and heads out on loan

TAMMY ABRAHAM has signed a new five-year deal with Chelsea.

The 19-year-old will now join fellow Premier League side Swansea City on a season-long loan as he continues his development.

The striker moves to the Welsh club, where he will be managed by former Chelsea assistant first team coach Paul Clement, having enjoyed a spell at Bristol City in the Championship last season.

During his time at Ashton Gate the young striker impressed, finding the net 26 times in all competitions.

Abraham has been part of the Chelsea Academy since Under-8s and, according to Chelsea, his goals played a pivotal part in ensuring we won back-to-back FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League trophies in 2014/15 and 2015/16.

He was handed his Chelsea first team debut in a Premier League away game against Liverpool as the 2015/16 season drew to a close, and also featured in our following match against Leicester City.

Having represented England at Under-18 and Under-19 level, Abraham scored a brace on his full debut for the Under-21s last October and was part of the squad which reached the semi-finals of the European Under-21 Championships in Poland.
