Sian Blake's partner pleads guilty to murder of her and sons

TRAGIC: Former EastEnders actress Sian Blake

THE PARTNER of former EastEnders actress Sian Blake has pleaded guilty to killing the 43-year-old and their two young sons.

Arthur Simpson-Kent, 49, entered his plea at the Old Bailey today (June 10).

Blake and the couple's children Zachary Kent-Blake, eight, and Amon Kent-Blake, four, vanished on December 13. Their bodies were found buried in the garden of the family home in Erith, Kent, on January 5.

A post-mortem examination revealed they had all died of head and neck injuries and police said "significant attempts" had been made to hide the bodies.

Blake's mother and sister attended court to see Simpson-Kent admit his crimes. Outside, her sister Ava smiled and said the family were “really relieved”.

Simpson-Kent was arrested in February at Heathrow after agreeing to his extradition from Ghana.

He appeared before Mr Justice Singh at the Old Bailey to enter his pleas. Wearing a red T-shirt and black trousers, he appeared via video link from Belmarsh jail.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a three-day sentencing from October 4.

Blake played Frankie Pierre in 56 episodes of EastEnders between 1996 and 1997. She was suffering from motor neurone disease before she died.
