Second policeman shot in Jamaica in less than 24 hours

A SECOND POLICEMAN has been targeted by unknown assailants in Jamaica in less than 24 hours.

In the latest incident, the victim, a special constable, was shot and killed as he sat at home with his girlfriend, local news reports.

The woman was injured during in the incident in Montego Bay yesterday night (Oct 9). Little is known about her condition.

The shooting of the cop by gunmen is the second in the parish of St James, situated within the popular tourist destination.

Earlier that morning, a policeman on a raid in the area was shot and injured during an alleged shootout with gunmen.

Days earlier another district constable, was shot several times by unknown assailants.

He has since been hospitalised.
