Schoolboy stabbed on bus dies

CRIME SCENE: A 16-year-iold boy has died after he was stabbed on board a 393 bus

THE SCHOOLBOY victim of a bus stabbing attack on Tuesday afternoon (April 23) has died in hospital.

He was attacked on a 393 bus in Highbury, north London in a reported 'school war' attack.

The 16-year-old was knifed close to the gates of Highbury Grove School in Islington in an alleged ambush involving pupils from a rival school at 3.20pm.

He was treated at the scene before he was airlifted to hospital where he was reported to be in a critical but stable condition. He died late yesterday evening (April 24).

His next of kin have been told.

A boy, 15, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Tuesday and remains in custody at a north London police station. A post mortem examination is to be held later.
