MISSING OUT: Sadio Mane
LIVERPOOL FORWARD Sadio Mane will have an operation on a knee injury on Tuesday and will miss the rest of the season as result.
The Senegalese player damaged cartilage in his left knee in a collision with Leighton Baines in a 3-1 home win over Everton.
Manager Jurgen Klopp had said that 25-year-old Mane needed surgery, leaving it "pretty much impossible for him to play again this season".
RESTING: Sadio Mane
The footballer posted an image of himself on Instagram after the injury – an injury which is expected to rule him out for two months.
Liverpool are third in the Premier League and have six games left.
Mane joined the club for £34m from Southampton last summer and has started all but six of Liverpool's league games this campaign.
