PRINCE HARRY and Meghan Markle are officially husband and wife, following a ceremony at Windsor Castle.

The couple exchanged vows and rings before the Queen and 600 guests at St George's Chapel, including Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey and Idris Elba.

Wearing a dress by British designer Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, Ms Markle was met by Prince Charles, who walked her down the aisle.

The Duchess of Sussex had ten bridesmaids and pageboys - including Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The ceremony included a passionate speech from The Most Rev Bishop Michael Curry, the 27th presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church, from Chicago.

During the service, the couple pledged themselves to one another, saying: "For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part."

While the couple signed the registry, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason played for the guests.

UPDATE: The new Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now off on their 25-minute journey through the streets of Windsor in an Ascot Landau carriage. Afterwards they will return to the castle for the lunchtime reception.
