Premier League 2018/19: Six players to watch this season

WINNER WINGER: Ryan Sessegnon is only 18, but he’s a smart choice for keeping Fulham up

Ryan Sessegnon – Fulham

Keeping Sessegnon at Craven Cottage may be the best bit of business by Fulham this summer. The 18-year-old winger was the club’s top scorer as they secured their return to the top ight through the play-offs. And a ring Sessegnon will be crucial if Fulham are to stay up this season.

Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City

The pass master, De Bruyne had the most assists in the league and was player of the year at the Etihad after a stellar season. His ability to pick out teammates in tight spaces with ease or bag a goal from distance makes him a threat to any team this season.

Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace

Defenders throughout the league will not want to be one-on-one with Zaha, as his pace can take him past anyone. Like last season, Palace’s Premier League survival may rely on Zaha. The Ivorian is by far the best attacker at the club and the Eagles could struggle without him.

Wilfried Zaha

Eden Hazard – Chelsea

New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will already have Hazard’s name on his team sheet as the Belgian can turn a game all by himself. A direct and powerful runner, Hazard can create problems for any defence with his movement and will look to kick on after a strong World Cup performance.

Diogo Jota – Wolves

Any promoted team needs a goal scorer to survive, and Jota fits the bill at Wolves. One of a number of Portuguese players at Molineux, Jota scored 17 goals as Wolves strolled to top spot in the Championship. Wolves will need his goals again to hold on to their Premier League status.

Mo Salah

Mo Salah – Liverpool

Last year’s star player, Liverpool will need Salah to keep up his incredible form if they are to challenge this season. Liverpool have strengthened this summer, but Salah will still be the main man at Anfield and will be looking to match or better his 32-goal haul from last season.
