MONUMENTAL OCCASSION: Marvin and Rochelle Humes
NEW PARENTS Rochelle and Marvin Humes have disclosed that they will be bringing their baby daughter Alaia-Mai to their Hyde Park gigs next month.
Marvin, 28, is a member of boy band JLS and his 24-year-old wife Rochelle is a part of the girl group The Saturdays and both groups will be performing at the Barclaycard British Summer Time in London on July 7.
He told The Standard: “We’re going to make a day of it — it’s going to be great. It’s such a monumental occasion for both our bands so we will definitely bring the baby with us.
He emphasised that their friends and family would be on hand to help look after baby Alaia-Mai.
He added: "The dressing room situation may be a little bit difficult. I’m sure the boys would love to share dressing rooms with The Saturdays, but it’s still a working day for us — business as usual.
“It’s tiring, of course, but we’re loving being parents. Alaia-Mai makes me smile all the time. We’re still in the honeymoon phase, so even when she’s crying it’s a beautiful sound."
The Saturday's singer Rochelle, who gave birth on May 20, confirmed on Twitter three days ago that she was back at work.
She tweeted: “First day back at work! Off to a photoshoot. You can be glamorous sporting baby sick on your shirt right."
Husband Marvin affectionately showed his support for his wife on the social media site.
He said: “First day back at work for my SuperWoman wife, proud of you…have a good day #WomanOfSteel.”
