Police investigating 'racist' tube rant

SEARCH: Police investigating 'racist tube rant'

POLICE ARE appealing for information following the release of a video that apparently shows a white woman racially abusing fellow passengers on board a London train.

The seven-minute clip, which was posted on Youtube, shows the unnamed woman in an offensive rant aimed at two Asian men seated next two her on a Central Line tube carriage.

In the footage the suspect is seen threatening to attack one of the victims, who she reffered to as a 'f***ing foreigner'.

She said: "I shall punch you in the f****** face. 90 percent of you are f****** illegal. I wouldn't mind if you loved our country."

She then turns to the camera and says: "I used to live in England now I live in the United Nations."

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "BTP is aware of the videos posted on YouTube which show a woman making alleged racist comments on board a Central Line Tube train."

"BTP treats all allegations of racism on the London Underground very seriously and would urge anyone with information about this incident to contact us," they added.

Last year, Emma West, 34, was charged with racially aggravated public order offences and intent to cause fear, after a video of her in a foul-mouthed tirade went viral after a passenger uploaded it on YouTube.

Anyone with information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference B3 of 26/01/12.
