PM asks public to report suspected illegal immigrants

SPEECH: David Cameron

DAVID CAMERON is urging members of the British public to report any suspected illegal immigrant.

In his speech yesterday (Oct 10) the Prime Minister, who has also promised to include British history in the current citizen test, said he wanted “everyone in the country to help.”

He asked people to report “suspected illegal immigrants to our Border Agency through the Crime stoppers phone line or through the Border Agency website.”

Adding: “Together we will reclaim our borders and send illegal immigrants home.”

Cameron also said he was backing Home Secretary Theresa May in her desire to replace the European Court of Human Right, an international treaty to protect human rights and fundamental freedoms in Europe, with the British Bill of Right, which sets out the rights of Parliament and rules for freedom of speech in Parliament.

He said, “we are creating a new national crime agency with a dedicated border policing command which will have responsibility for safeguarding the security of our border.”
