Pensioner missing after hospital visit could be at airport

MISSING: Winston Haynes

POLICE IN north London are appealing for the public's help in locating a missing man from upper Holloway.

Winston Haynes, 72, was last seen at around 2pm on Saturday (Oct 8) shortly before he walked out of West Middlesex Hospital in Hounslow. He has not been seen or heard from since.

Officers are concerned for his safety and wellbeing as Mr. Haynes, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was in hospital being treated for a chest infection and left with a cannula still in his arm.

My Haynes is described as black, with a slim build and short greying hair. It is believed he is wearing dark clothing and likely to be wearing a black trilby hat.

It is possible Mr Haynes is attempting to travel to Gatwick Airport to travel to Jamaica; it is also possible he may have become confused and is attempting to travel to Heathrow.

There is no indication he has left the country at this time.

Anyone who has seen Mr Haynes or who knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact police in Islington via 101.
