Oxford Street Christmas lights launch gets some star power

OXFORD STREET is starting its Christmas season with a bang, as it announced a series of in-store performances to take place during the Christmas light-switching ceremony.

The iconic shopping street will turn on its festive lights on November 6 and will celebrate the occasion with in-store performances from some of London's top talents

MC and producer Novelist, who received a Mercury Prize nomination this year, will appear at JD Sports, While, rising R&B star Ray BLK will perform at the Nike store.

Jazz-inspired musician and former Britain's Got Talent star Isaac Waddington, will showcase his talents at the Uniqlo store and Kara Marni will bring her soulful vibes to Teens.

Capital XTRA presenters Yinka Bokinni and Robert Bruce will warm-up for each act with DJ sets ahead of the performances, in what is sure to be a fun-filled night to kick off the Christmas festivities.
