Oprah releases cookbook

MEDIA MAVEN Oprah Winfrey has made good on her promise to fans and created a cookbook, 'Food, Health and Happiness: 115 On-Point Recipes for Great Meals and a Better Life'.

Winfrey includes recipes as expected, however the unique selling point sure to excite readers is a frank account of how she recently lost 42 pounds and her issues with maintaining balance over the years.

As a Weight Watchers spokesperson, she also includes 'Points' values for each recipe.

“Now that I’ve finally internalised the rules of clean eating (food that’s minimally processed), I let myself break those rules!”, says the book.

“I don’t do it often, and I never do it mindlessly; the goal is to make my indulgences intentional. I aim for deliberate. I plan for decadence.”

Dishes include lavender shortbread and cacio e pepe pasta made with truffle zest, “Basic Tomato Soup,” and “Unfried Chicken”.
