A NURSE has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving in Barnet.

Ophelia Okai-Koi, 51, of Galdana Avenue, Barnet, was charged yesterday (October 29) over the incident that took place on March 4 when Christie McHugh, 33, died.

The victim was injured at about 6.40pm after leaving her vehicle on East Barnet Road during a dispute with another female driver.

She then was hit by a vehicle and suffered fatal head injuries.

The car involved in the collision drove away – emergency services confirmed McHugh’s death at the scene.

Following the incident police arrested Okai-Koi under suspicion of causing the death.
