A night out at the Africa Gospel Music and Media Awards

ARTISTS FROM across the world turned out in force for the Africa Gospel Music and Media Awards held at Stratford Circus, east London last Saturday.

Hosted by Premier Gospel’s Tolu ‘Lady T’ Adepega and rapper Michael ‘Lyrical Soldier’ Agyei, the full house was treated to stellar performances throughout the night.

A total of 38 awards were presented on the night across the board. Recipients included Sonnie Badu, who won the Trailblazer Award, Isabella Ogo-Uzodike, Diana Hamilton and Stephen Mpofu all received the Community Awards, the TV Programme of Excellence went to Turning Point International, while Sarah Teibo and Purist Ogboi won the Discovery of Excellence Award. Sinach won Song of Excellence with Waymaker, while saxophonist Mike Aremu was crowned International Artiste of Excellence.
