New digital talk show, Wonder Women launches

NEW SHOW: DJ, Melody Kane, Emma Edward, Jasmine Dotiwala Anne-Marie Imafidon.

A BRAND new inspirational talk show, WONDER WOMEN is set to launch online from Friday 28 April 2017.

The aim of the series is to inspire the next generation of talented, young female creatives by championing the stories of trailblazing women who work in the Tech, Media and Music industries.

The first series of Wonder Women, comprising of 4 x 20 minute webisodes, discusses topical industry issues and everyday dilemmas asked by young people from selected youth charities and features words of wisdom from an array of talented and inspiring women including:

BBC Radio 1xtra DJ, Melody Kane, Cinematographer Emma Edward, Executive Producer & Broadcaster, Jasmine Dotiwala and Co-founder of the Stemettes, Anne-Marie Imafidon.

Speaking on the new show, series creator Ria Hebden said: “Wonder Women was created in response to the lack of positive female role models and stories being told in the media."

"It’s evident from listening to the young girls I mentor that they have such low self-esteem because everything they consume centres on how they look rather than teaching them to embrace the skills that make them unique and crucially, employable as well as what amazing career opportunities are available to them.”

“We all have an obligation to be mentors and to share our learnings with the next generation so they can truly thrive. I hope by watching Wonder Women it will inspire viewers to seek career opportunities that they were not otherwise aware of and reinforce that they have something unique to contribute to the world.”
