MTV EMA's: Pranks, Stormzy almost misses performance & more

HOST: Rita Ora was on hosting duties at this year's MTV European Music Awards (EMAs)

THE MTV EMA's took place in London last night (Nov 12), with winners including Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and more.

The award ceremony, which took place at Wembley Stadium, was hosted by Rita Ora, and had its fair share of funny moments.

Stormzy was left red-faced ahead of his performance as he was stuck in the ladies’ loo. The Gang, Signs and Prayer's MC asked his social media followers for help after he found himself awkwardly trapped in a cubicle during Sunday night’s ceremony.

“Came to buss a s*** but accidentally went in the girls toilets so I can hear bare girls outside but if I pop out now imma look mad creepy,” he said in a Snapchat video.

Despite the embarrassing mishap, the rapper made it to the stage in time to perform, and even picked up an award for Best UK and Ireland Act.

Pranksters also stormed the stage.French Montana was performing his track Unforgettable when the pranksters known as Trollstation (the biggest prank channel in the UK) invaded the stage and waved a banner encouraging people to donate to them on mybusks - a new crowdfunding app for artists.

Beyond the pranks and occasional mishaps, the remainder of the show went off without a hitch. Rita Ora was praised for her hosting skills, and arrived to the red carpet in nothing but diamonds and a bathrobe - really.

Big performers of the night included Travis Scott, U2 and Camilla Cabello.
