EXPENSIVE: Ray J
IT'S BEEN revealed that Celebrity Big Brother UK will reportedly pay Ray J $1 million (£810,000) for appearing on the show.
The recently married Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star - who celebrates his 36th birthday on January 17 - is also claimed to receive a £30,000 allowance for flights and hotels for his time in the UK outside of the house.
It was recently reported that bosses of the Channel 5 show are hopeful that Ray J will candidly tell all about his time with pre-fame Kim during his time on the All Star edition of the show.
Other celebs appearing on the show this year included Calumn Best and Heidi and Spencer Montag.
So far, leading online bookmaker Betway has cut Best’s odds of winning the competition from 13/2 to 11/4, as punters reacted positively to news that he is sharing the house with his mother, Angie.
Mum Angie’s odds have also been trimmed, shortening from 20/1 to 18/1 overnight.
Ante post favourites ‘Speidi’, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, have been relegated to second in the betting at 5/1.
Despite dazzling viewers with a Union Jack fashioned blazer, Ray J has been one of the weakest in the market over the past 24 hours, drifting from 13/2 to 10/1.
Betway’s Alan Alger, said: “The big story of this year’s Celebrity Big Brother looks to be Calum Best being joined in the house by his mum. Punters have latched onto that and expect Best to go far, backing him from 13/2 into 11/4.
“Despite all of the focus shifting to the Bests, Speidi remain pretty strong in the betting. We’re keeping them onside and won’t be offering them at any bigger than 5/1 for the moment.”
