Kelly Rowland gives birth to 'healthy' baby boy

NEW MUM: Kelly Rowland gave birth to her first child yesterday (Nov 4)

KELLY ROWLAND has given birth to a "healthy" baby boy.

The Former Destiny's Child singer and husband Tim Witherspoon welcomed their first child yesterday (Nov 4), announcing they had named him Titan Jewell.

"We are thrilled to announce that today we are the proud parents of our first son," Rowland said in a statement to People in a statement. "We are blessed to report everyone is healthy and happy!"

Earlier this year, Kelly told the magazine that her husband had picked out the name Titan, which is also the name of a group of gods in greek mythology. "The dad picked out the name. It has to do with family," she said.

Rowland and Witherspoon tied the knot in a low key romantic ceremony in Costa Rica earlier this year after a long engagement.

NEW ARRIVAL: The singer teasingly posted a snap of a pair of Air Jordans trainers with a baby version placed beside them and the caption, “I'll be stuntin like my daddy.....” back in June before confirming the news a week later

The 33-year-old announced news of her engagement during an interview on The Queen Latifah Show, revealing that Witherspoon had proposed via Skype.

"I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other," she said. "And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

In June, the singer hinted she was pregnant when she uploaded a picture of adult Air Jordan trainers beside a baby replica on her Instagram page and wrote, “I'll be stuntin like my daddy.....”

She later confirmed the news a few days later after posting a picture of her growing baby bump on Instagram.
