K Michelle opens up about botched surgery in new doc

UNDER THE KNIFE: A new documentary investigates why so many women are seeking out cosmetic surgery practitioners on the black market

SINGER K Michelle has shared her story of cosmetic surgery mishaps in a new documentary airing in BET.

In the documentary, which is executive produced and narrated by Lala Anthony, actress and producer and Carmelo Anthony’s estranged wife, the black market cosmetic industry is investigated.

Killer Curves: Bodies to Die For looks at the popularity of the underground and often illegal cosmetic surgery trend.

The results of procedures on people who seek out cosmetic surgery practitioners on the black market can be botched or even fatal.

The documentary also explores how modern reality TV stars, video girls and more have contributed to the desire among women to obtain unnaturally exaggerated curves.

In the one-part documentary, singer K Michelle is one of the women who speak out on the trend and share their experience. K Michelle recently had her buttocks surgery reversed after many years.

“It was headaches all the time,” K Michelle said. “It was, can’t even walk,” Madame Noire reported.
The documentary will air in the US on Wednesday August 8 at 10pm (EST).
