Jay Z and Kanye West to release joint album on July 4?

BEST OF BOTH: Jay-Z and Kanye West have been working on a collaboration rumoured to be released on July 4

MUSIC FANS will have their ears to the street as July 4 is tipped as the hotly-anticipated collaboration between Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The full-length album Watch the Throne was originally due to be released in January but it has failed to make an appearance on the radar.

Rumours are now rife that the hip-hop heavyweights will release it today to coincide with US Independence Day, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

It is expected to be released online first.

Speaking to MTV this week, West's protege CyHi the Prynce stoked the fires by saying the release would be "ready for you guys soon".

He added: "You never know what they gonna do and how they gonna put it out.

"They might put it out yesterday."
