I Will International Film Festival comes to the UK

UPCOMING: I Will International Film Festival

FROM AUGUST 30, film fans in Leytonstone and across London will have the chance to experience the inspirational I Will Tell International film festival; a powerful celebration of impactful dramas, documentaries, animations and short films from around the world that celebrate untold stories which captivate, challenge and inspire.

The festival will be hosted exclusively at ELIM, Leytonstone, in London’s first Borough of Culture, for 11 nights and will open with Nancy Buirski’s award-winning the rape of Recy Taylor, which explores the story of a 24 year old young black woman who was gang-raped by six white boys and refused to be silent about it.

Festival Director, Jenny Lee said: “The festival is a celebration of humanity. Recy Taylor is an excellent example of how our stories create the foundation that we build our lives on, and it is worth the fight to ensure the right story is told because it affects not only ourselves but generations to come.”

The Festival will screen more than 50 films from over 25 countries followed by post-screening discussions with a mixture of filmmakers, subject matter experts, grassroots activists and high profile leaders.

Now in its 12th year, the festival continues to attract international filmmakers and high profile speakers from around the world and includes World, European and UK Premieres.

Tickets are very competitively priced at less than £10 for adults with concessions for students and the elderly, and can be booked online now www.iwilltell.com
