Hosting an event? The Voice wants to hear from you!

WHAT, WHEN AND WHERE: Got an event? Get in touch with The Voice newspaper

WANT TO find out about what's happening within the black community?

From eye opening exhibitions and hilarious comedy nights to tear-jerking plays and insightful panel discussions, The Voice newspaper will now include a listings page so you can find out what's happening, when and where all in one place.

Back by popular demand, the first listings page, published in the October 1 issue of the paper, will feature a four-week forward planner dedicated to Black History Month events.

This includes the Marcus Garvey: Foolish Fanatic or a Great Leader of the Black Masses? lecture at the University of Gloucestershire on October 19 and an east London documentary screening about the celebration of streetwear in the UK and US.

George Ruddock, editor and managing director of The Voice, said: "Due to popular demand, event listings will be revived.

"Our listings used to be a guide for everything to do with arts, entertainment and more, and since we stopped it, people have been yearning for its return."

Ruddock added: "We like to please our readers, so the weekly listings has returned."

A loyal Voice reader said: "I'm so pleased to hear that event listings will be returning to the newspaper. There's so much happening in the UK, from festivals and plays to art exhibits and stand-up shows, so it's great that I can find all the information I need in one place."
