BEST OF ENEMIES: Vitali Klitschko and David Haye could meet
FORMER HEAVYWEIGHT champion David Haye looks likely to get a chance to redeem himself.
The ex WBA champion was humbled by Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg recently and seemingly totally out of the equation but now the elder Klitschko, Vitali, has said he wants to tackle vanquished Haye.
Vitali, the WBC champion, claims that Haye's taunts at his brother Wladimir prior to their recent fight have inspired him and have made him determined to meet the Londoner himself.
The bad pre-fight blood between and Wladimir has not been forgotten and Vitali wants to right Haye’s wrongs.
The former cruiserweight world champion first taunted the Klitschkos by wearing a t-shirt depicting him holding up the severed heads of both fighters and then went on to advertise his own app which shows him decapitating what he called "an eastern European fighter".
Vitali said: "Now David Haye is without a title but there is one reason why I want to fight him - because he touched me personally with his bad words. I want to give him the right answer by sending him to the floor.
"This would be great for me personally. If the fight happens this will be the biggest motivation."
The only challenge to another Klitschko - Haye encounter might be Haye's self-impsoed retirement date of October 13 - his 31st birthday.
