GIRLS TRIP 2: Regina Hall will return for the sequel

GET READY to fly away with the Flossy Posse, a Girls Trip sequel is reportedly in the works.

Regina Hall has revealed some exciting news about the future of the four friends who made audiences around the howl with laughter last year.

In an interview with Buzzfeed News’ AM to DM, Hall responded to a question over the possibility of a follow up to the 2017 hit by saying that the team behind the film were “trying to make that happen”.

She said: “So we’re trying to get everything together with the schedule. I think they’re working on something. I don’t know where we’re going. I don’t know where the girls are going, but… we’re going somewhere.”

Fans of the first film are unsurprisingly overjoyed by the news.

One Twitter user called the first film the “funniest movie I’ve seen in the last decade”.

Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish starred alongside Hall in the film that was a hit in the box office and with cinemagoers last summer.

The film, which was directed by Malcolm D Lee and written by Kenya Barris, brought in $140.4 million across the globe.
