CELEBRATION: Ladies dancing up a storm at Friends of the Caribbean ball
FRIENDS OF the Caribbean a local Milton Keynes Charity is this year raising funds to support its supplementary education and mentoring schemes.
In the last eight years, Friends of the Caribbean has supported Diabetes UK, Willen Hospice, a Milton Keynes care home, Haiti Earthquake Appeal, Prostate Cancer UK, and Alpha Home for Boys in Jamaica, to name a few.
The charity will be hosting its annual charity ball this Saturday (July 16) at the Jury’s Inn Hotel, Central Milton Keynes starting at 6pm with a welcome cocktail reception.
This year’s ball is in honour of Guyana celebration 50 years of Independence and will be under the distinguished patronage of Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkins who is Chaplin to the House of Commons and also Patron of the Friends of the Caribbean.
The evening will be celebrated with a three-course meal, including complimentary wine before patrons will be entertained by a special Bob Marley tribute by live band “Legend” followed by dancing to the sounds of DJ Rudy Ranks until 2am.
