Football boss calls for swift action

ACCUSER: Patrice Evra of Manchester United and France

LIVERPOOL BOSS Kenny Dalglish has called for a swift conclusion to the race row between Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez.
“We would rather have it done and dusted, out in the open,” he said.

United defender Evra claims that Liverpool striker Suarez racially abused him several times throughout their match last month.

The case is one of two ongoing racial abuse investigations, with the John Terry and Anton Ferdinand incident having taken place the following weekend.

Dalglish added: "Whoever is the guilty party - the person who said it or the accuser - [should] get their due punishment."

The Liverpool manager went on to defend his player, saying: "For me, I don't see racism apparent in any way, shape or form as far as this football club is concerned. "I do not think racism is prevalent in the game here and it certainly isn't at this football club.

"We have got a case going on ourselves which seems to be dragging its feet. We look forward to the case coming to a conclusion."

The FA, however, insist they will not be rushed to a decision on either of the ongoing investigations, and will make an announcement at the appropriate time.
