Football Black List: Call for nominations

RECOGNISED: Commercial award recipient Marcia Willis-Stewart with Football Black List host Jonathan Joseph

THE LATEST edition of the Football Black List (FBL) will be published shortly and 'Voice' readers and the general public have the opportunity to nominate those in football that go about their work largely unacknowledged.

The Football Black List, published in The Voice, highlights members of the black community for their contribution across football. The list focuses not only on those that perform on the field, but also those who work tirelessly behind the scenes and the champions at grassroots level, often referred to as the lifeblood of the beautiful game. Also gaining recognition for their work are those who work in the media either as journalists, broadcasters and pundits.

The Voice can reveal that there is likely to be additions to the categories in a bid to recognise even more that work within the beautiful game.

This is your chance to put forward a nominee for the next list and give the judging panel something to think about. The community has the opportunity to assist FBL founders Rodney Hinds and Leon Mann, as they look to find nominees nationwide.

March’s Football Black List Celebration, held in central London, was supported by the Premier League and was deemed a huge success.

Now the search is on to unearth the next raft of award recipients.
