Ferdinand ‘holds talks’ with Bursaspor

ON THE MOVE: Ferdinand

DEFENDER ANTON Ferdinand is in talks to leave Premier League stragglers Queens Park Rangers and join Turkish club Bursaspor on loan for the rest of the season.

The 27-year-old centre-back flew out to the Istanbul Ataturk Airport on January 27 to speak to Bursaspor representatives.

It was there where he told the Dogan News Agency: “I am happy to be here. We will meet Bursaspor representitives in Monday. Nothing concrete for now.”

Ferdinand arrived at Loftus Road in 2011 but has only started 16 games in all competitions this season.

QPR currently occupy 20th and last place in the Premier League table.

Hoops manager Harry Redknapp previously stated that Ferdinand would not be leaving the club but it would seem that he will be on the move shortly.

Bursaspor currently lie sixth in the Super Lig table.
