Fabio Capello says Terry is not a racist

SUPPORT: England's manager fully supports his captain, John Terry

ENGLAND boss, Fabio Capello, has dismissed there is any truth in the racism allegations against team captain, John Terry.

Capello is convinced Terry, who has been accused of calling fellow footballer Anton Ferdinand 'a f*cking black c*nt' during a recent match, is innocent until proven guilty.

"In my experience I have never seen, never heard and never found racism problems in England football. Racist problems between the players do not exist," Capello said.

"We need to wait to see what will happen about the FA and the police investigation but I can tell you he is innocent until proven guilty," he added.

The Italian, who included the Chelsea skipper in his squad for the upcoming friendlies against Spain and Sweden, has been warned by the FA to keep a low profile in the race row's ongoing investigations.

Last week the Metropolitan Police launched a formal investigation into allegations that Terry racially abused Ferdinand during the QPR - Chelsea clash at Loftus Road on October 23.

Meanwhile, according to The Sun newspaper, police say Ferdinand , 26, was sent death threats on Friday (Nov 4).

Reportedly the police have now warned Ferdinand and members of his close family, including big brother Manchester United's Rio, to take immediate precautionary measures, including fitting panic alarms at their homes.
