Dizzee Rascal to release first album since 2009

GRIME ARTIST Dizzee Rascal will release his first album for four years this summer.

Titled The Fifth, the upcoming album will be released on July 1 and is the Londoner’s first since 2009’s Tongue’N’Cheek, which sold over 300,000 copies.

Consisting of 12-tracks, the album features collaborations with artists such as, Jessie J and Calvin Harris.

The Fifth will be the Dirtee Stank boss’ opening release for his new label Universal.

The Mercury Prize winner told the BBC: “If my last record was dipping my foot into the swimming pool of happiness, this one is fully going for a swim - backstroke, butterfly, in every way ... not just doggie-paddle."

Well-known songwriters Warren Okay 'Oak' Felder, Andrew 'Pop' Wansell, Jean-Baptiste Kouame and RedOne have also worked on the album.

Dizzee Rascal has released an online preview of song, We Don’t Play Around, featuring Jessie J.

The Voice UK judge retweeted the preview to her followers and wrote: "Make no mistakes when we go we go hard."
