Diana Ross gets Grammy nod

DIANA ROSS is set to receive a lifetime achievement award at next year's Grammy Awards.

The 67-year-old singer, will receive the honour for making 'lasting impressions on our culture,' at a special ceremony to be held in Los Angeles the night before the 54th ceremony on February 11.

Activist, poet and singer Gil Scott-Heron, who died earlier this year (May 28), will also receive a lifetime achievement award alongside fellow singers Glen Campbell and George Jones.

Late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs will receive one the Academy’s Trustees Awards for his non-performance contributions to the world of music.
