Damon Dash confirms Roc-A-Fella biopic is on the way

DAMON “DAME” Dash sat down with Hip Hop Motivation, and confirmed that a movie about Roc-A-Fella Records is in the works.

The co-founder of the late 1990’s, early 2000’s Hip Hop record company said he does not plan to make the type of film the public may be expecting.

“There’s a lot that people didn’t see, and that would be the part I’d be showing. So you don’t know what I’m going to show you,” Dash said. “Why would I just make a re-creation of what everybody saw? I want to make things that no one knew.”

Roc-A-Fella was once the label home of Jay Z, Kanye West, Memphis Bleek, Beanie Sigel, Cam’ron, DJ Clue, and others.
