APPLICATIONS FOR this year's Mr and Miss Nigeria UK (MMNUK) 2016 are now open.

The official Mr & Miss Nigeria UK Annual Cultural Beauty Pageant is back and ready to take over London later this year.

The extravagant pageant, aimed to empower and enrich the Nigerian culture within the UK, is on the hunt again to find their new King and Queen.

Mr & Miss Nigeria UK 2015 winners Jane Ezeanaka and Theo Ogundipe, have had an eventful six months since their win in October.

Ezeanaka is heading to Nigeria next month and Ogundipe will be launching Guami, his Ankara-inspired clothing line.

While the current winners are spreading their wings during their final six months as 'royalty', the MMNUK team have now begun their search for their next as King and Queen.

The beauty pageant aims to help further and develop Nigeria by bringing more awareness to its underlining issues, and will serve to connect British born and raised Nigerians with their heritage back home.
