HOPEFUL: Collet Collins
A 24-year-old filmmaker and model from south London is hoping to become the next Miss Earth England - and take on 100 other ladies worldwide in the hope of bringing home the international Miss Earth Crown.
Collet Collins, who has worked on film sets such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and Hereafter, is a grand finalist in the Miss Earth England competition to be held in Birmingham in September.
If she wins, Collins will compete in the international Miss Earth competition scheduled for Thailand in October.
Collins, who wants to study filmmaking at Middlesex University later this year, is now looking for a company to sponsor her as she promotes “a cleaner and healthier environment in her local community.’”
It is part of her challenge to walk away with the special Green Award on offer to the grand finalist who shows outstanding knowledge and a contribution to environmental conservation in their hometown.
“(My) environmental message to everyone is remember to clean as you go and always remember to turn of what you’re NOT using,” she said.
Miss Earth is now in celebrating its 11th year and promotes environmental awareness and a clean and healthy lifestyle.
