Concerns for missing autistic man with mental age of a child

MISSING: Gabrel Phillips is missing from his Lewisham home

POLICE IN southeast London are appealing for the public's help to find a vulnerable missing man from Lewisham.

Gabrel Phillips, 20, was last seen at around 4.20pm yesterday (Thur, May 5) leaving his home on Ballach Road.

Officers are concerned for his safety and wellbeing as Gabrel is autistic and officers have been informed that he has the mental age of a five-year-old.

Gabrel is described as black, 5ft 6ins tall, of stocky build with short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with dark horizontal stripes, black tracksuit trousers, a reddish coloured coat with a purple hooded top underneath. He was also carrying a black rucksack.

Gabrel is known to travel on buses. He likes to frequent central London, Stratford and Stanstead Airport.

Anyone who has seen Gabrel, or anyone with any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police in Lewisham via 101, or the Missing Person Unit on 07500 816 172.
