Concern mounts for missing elderly woman from west London

APPEAL: Zainab Mohammed, 77, was last seen by her family on Wednesday (March 19)

POLICE ARE becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of an elderly woman from Hammersmith, west London.

Zainab Mohammed, 77, was last seen by her family leaving Hammersmith bus station to go to Shepherd's Bush Mosque at 4pm on Wednesday (March 19).

She was expected to return that evening to her home on the White City Estate, also in Shepherd's Bush.

CCTV footage shows Zainab boarding a 295 bus at 7.39pm at Hammersmith and Fulham bus garage. The bus was travelling towards Ladbroke Grove nearby.

Zainab suffers from Alzheimer's disease and may become confused.

She was last seen wearing a white head scarf and a blue and black shawl with a long black coat with large buttons.

She was also carrying a beige handbag.

Zainab Mohammed has now been found, police have confirmed
