Chris Brown: I have not been banned from the UK

CONCERT: Chris Brown

CHRIS BROWN says his criminal record had nothing to do with why he couldn’t perform at the recent Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales over the weekend.

A representative of the singer, who was hotly-tipped to perform at the event on Saturday (Oct 8), said that rumours suggesting the 22-year-old had been banned were completely false, citing clashing dates with his current F.A.M.E tour as the reason.

They told TMZ: “His previously booked domestic F.A.M.E. tour concert dates didn’t allow him to accept the honor and therefore he never planned to go to the UK. He was not banned."
”

The rep went onto point out that the singer’s tour dates in Tampa, Charlotte and Virginia Beach were booked before Brown was asked to join the show.

In 2009 Brown was as sentenced to five years of probation, one year of domestic violence counseling, and six months of community service after assaulting former girlfriend, Rihanna.
