LAST NIGHT'S (Feb 21) BRIT Awards, was a big night for rapper Stormzy and singer Dua Lipa, as they blazed the stage with standout performances and took home two prizes.

The south London MC won best British male and best British album for Gang Signs and Prayer, and he also closed the show with a phenomenal performance where he criticised the PM's handling of the Grenfell tragedy.

He called the government "criminals", saying they "just forgot about Grenfell". He continued: "You criminals, you got the cheek to call us savages, / you should do some jail time, you should pay some damages, / we should burn your house down and see if you can manage this."

The star also showed love to black British trailblazers in his rap, including model Jourdan Dunn and BAFTA winner Daniel Kaluuya.

Dua Lipa won best British female and the breakthrough award, and hit the stage performing her monster track New Rules.

Other winners included Ed Sheehan, who took home the global success award, while Gorillaz were named best British group.
