VERSATILE: England star Stacey Francis
ENGLAND NETBALL has announced that Jamaica will renew their rivalry with the England Roses this November and December in a three-match Vitality Netball International Series.
The Roses will be playing at two new venues for the very first time as the sides go head-to-head in London, Manchester and Coventry.
The hosts open the Series with a clash at the Copper Box Arena in London on November 29. The iconic arena is a well-established venue for world class netball and is expected to be rocking once again later this year.
Three days later the action heads to the North-West as Belle Vue, Manchester stages a repeat of last year’s World Cup bronze medal match. This brand new arena will welcome close to 2,000 Roses’ fans in December.
The final fixture sees England - coached by Tracey Neville - and Jamaica head to the West Midlands and the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on December 4.
THE BOSS: Red Roses coach Tracey Neville
This excellent venue opened in 2010 and the two sides will meet in the impressive Jaguar Exhibition Hall, which will allow 4,000 fans to watch the two teams go into battle one last time.
It will be the first time in four years that the Sunshine Girls have taken part in a full tour to England and the last time was a nail-biter!
The Roses, who will most likely include the versatile Stacy Francis in their ranks, took the first match in Birmingham before the Caribbean team levelled the Series in Liverpool. A dramatic 62-58 win for England in the final match at the EIS, Sheffield saw the Red Roses lift the trophy.
Tickets for England versus Jamaica at London and Coventry are on sale.Tickets for the Manchester fixture will be released in the coming weeks.
