Boy George shocks Voice UK audience: 'I slept with Prince'

SHOCKING: Boy George (left) allegedly revealed his has 'slept with Prince'

NEWLY APPOINTED Voice UK judge Boy George sent shock waves around a studio audience when he outrageously claimed that he had slept with US singer Prince.

The star's comment was made during a recent recording of the show, and the reaction from the crowd meant cameras had to stop rolling, according to The Mirror.

The new judge, 54, was reportedly discussing past collaborations with singer Paloma Faith, who is also new to the panel this year, when Prince's name was brought up.

“I have duetted with some of the greatest soul singers in history including Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson,” he's believed to have boasted.

“Well OK, if we’re throwing big soul names out there I’ve performed with Prince,” Paloma replied.

George then reportedly joked: “Forget that, darling, I’ve slept with Prince.”

His shock quip is said to have sent the crowd "wild", while producers scrambled to halt filming.

A show source told The Sun: “We just couldn’t believe what he had come out with - and the guys in the gallery were beside themselves.

“The crowd went absolutely wild because they thought they had just witnessed a massive celebrity exclusive.”

They added that the Karma Chameleon star then began to backtrack after fellow judge Will.i.am began high-fiving him and producers stepped in.

“Production staff had to come up on stage and speak to them. After that Boy George started backtracking saying he hadn’t really slept with Prince and that in reality, he just had his poster on his wall. But as far as the crowd were concerned the cat was already out of the bag.”
