Bolt injured in final track race

AGONY: Usain Bolt

TRACK LEGEND Usain Bolt collapsed onto the track during his final outing at the World Athletics Championships at the London Stadium tonight (August 12).

Bolt had just received the baton from Yohan Blake with Jamaica in contention for a medal. But Bolt pulled up in agony before collapsing 50 metres from the finishing line. He was immediately attended to by paramedics and team mates before rising to his feet.

Jamaica's team doctor, Dr. Kevin Jones, said of Bolt's injury:

"It's cramp in his left hamstring but a lot of pain is from disappointment from losing the race. The last three weeks have been hard for him, you know. We hope for the best for him."
