KEY: Demarius Bolds (left) in action
STEFAN GILL has pinpointed Prestige Homes MK Lions backcourt partner Demarius Bolds as the key to success. The Lions are on a roll after moving up into fifth spot in the BBL Championship after transforming their 2-4 league record to an equitable 4-4 with a win double against Durham Wildcats and Cheshire Jets last weekend.
Leading the way was Demarius Bolds who produced two fantastic performances, one of which handed him another spot in the BBL Team Of The Week.
According to fellow guard Gill, his good work is rubbing off on the other Lions players and could be the driving force to really make the Lions roar between now and the end of the season.
Gill said: "Demarius is Demarius, he's always going to be a key factor for us all around the floor. It's not just his scoring because he also gets boards and assists. He's infectious and he makes us all play better."
Bolds will certainly have to be at his best if he wants to help Lions prolong their revival since they make the journey to South Yorkshire tonight where they will face a One Health Sharks Sheffield team who are also desperate to kick start their season in a big way having suffered an early winter slump in form.
Currently with a negative balance of three wins and four losses, the Sharks have a big opportunity of turning their record into a positive one by following up a potential home success against Lions with another victory tomorrow when they make the relatively short trip up to County Durham to face the Wildcats.
